About

Why I'm
here.

Sex therapist & supervisor. AASECT-certified. LMFT in MA, OR & NY. 10+ years in private practice.

The path

I trained as a marriage and family therapist at UMass Boston, then became an AASECT (American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) certified sex therapist and, later, a supervisor of sex therapy. I co-founded a sex therapy agency and training institute in the greater Boston area where I worked for over a decade — seeing clients while also training therapists to become competent, confident sex therapists themselves.

I truly love this work. I love the adventure of moving relationships and individuals toward a greater sense of intimacy — the kind that can keep growing alongside us. I'm inspired by the transformation of therapists themselves as they witness and become part of fantastic change in their clients. And I never tire of learning, alongside and from both professionals and fellow sexuality enthusiasts, about this extraordinary corner of human life.

Our sexuality is interwoven into everything we are. It's something we can spend our whole lives trying to make sense of, in the midst of silence and a sex-negative world — immensely complex, particularly susceptible to shame and pressure and “shoulds.” And yet, it's a core element of our humanity — one powerful way we can express and receive love for ourselves and others. Therapy is a way to tap into the freedom and joy of unraveling ourselves from these barriers and discovering everything it has to offer.
